Many things have been written regarding the secret, some are even written by the contributors of the original book. But many of them fail to engage their audience any more than the original book and when I say engage the audience I mean reveal any further revelations than the original. Many people read the secret and attempted to practice what was inside, which was great but like an unfinished film it doesn’t really work or even make sense. Imagine reading a detective story getting to a pivotal plot twist, turning the page and are greeted by nothing more than blank empty pages. I know for a fact that I would be pretty annoyed and you need only to trawl the internet to see how annoyed people are about the apparent unfinished nature of the secret.
The worst thing about this attitude is the fact that many now call the secret or law of attraction a scam or snake oil and believe me it’s not. Have you ever wondered how someone who is wealthy and suddenly loses all his money, business. His life flushed down the toilet in the blink of an eye can somehow still manage in a short time to regain most of his previous wealth. At first I always used to think that it was because they have wealthy contacts whom help them, but if you really think about it say your friend went out of business and wanted to borrow a substantial amount of money. Would you lend it? Because I know I would think twice before handing it over. So what is it about these people?
It seems to work on everything, for instance I bet everyone reading this has that friend who is good with the ladies or guys. I bet they are no better looking than you, don’t have more money than you and are at times quite obnoxious. So how do they do it? Whether they know it or not they are using the law of attraction to its maximum potential. How they maximise this potential is another thing.
Whereas the secret offered a stripped down, general version of the law of attraction other publications offer a fuller more involved version. Thinking Successfully

Thinking successfully isn’t just a case of sitting on your toilet or whatever epiphany chamber you use and straining your mind to see yourself as successful. The Secret promised this and more, but if we are all honest with ourselves this would take a lot of effort to achieve. I’m not saying it wouldn’t work, but as I said requires quite a substantial effort as The Secret relies heavily on faith. There is no question that thoughts or ideas do have substance or can affect matter. On September the 11th 2001 the world watch as thousands of people were slain by an unforgivable act of violence, the interesting thing is that at the moment the second plane entered the second tower random number generators around the world stopped giving out random numbers. The collective feeling of grief actually affected the world in a physical way.
The Secret as a theory is fine but when combined with science becomes a king maker. What science can you combine with The Secret though? Well that’s easy if you think about it, the book utilises the human mind and its potential, so the most obvious science would be psychology. The study of the brain or mind has been the hot topic since Freud came up with his mother theory. How we view our own minds is important though and does take us back to The Secret. If you view your mind as an organ of restriction then we fail, whereas if we view it as what it truly is an organ of infinite possibilities then we are well on the road to understanding the mysteries of life.
If you have trouble grasping the idea of own mind being filled with infinite possibilities, as I did, try to remember that your mind or brain only ever uses about 50% at any one time and people like Einstein used about 60%. Does that change your perspective slightly? So imagine if someone gave the tools to unlock some more of your brain’s power. What could you do with that power, remember the phrase, ‘In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king’. By unlocking more your brains potential you can be the one eyed man. If you still don’t believe me, try writing something. Go away and think for 30 minutes about a subject, let you mind wander and then pick something out and focus on it. Once you have done that get a pen and a piece of paper or a computer and write a 400 word article informing people about your chosen topic.

How to remember the 'Forgotten Laws'

Bob Proctor was one of the main contributors to Rhonda Byrne's 'The Secret'. His snippets in the book were probably some of the most important. Rather than really on the spiritual side of the concept, Bob Proctor used a more scientific approach. Such as 'Why do you think that 1 percent of the population earns around 96 percent of all the money that's being earned? Do you think that's an accident?', Bob Proctor. His voice in the book lends itself to a sceptical layman and how they would feel at being explained this strange yet alluring piece of literature.

In current times the 'Law of Attraction' is perhaps more needed than ever, but also probably not particularly believed in. The economic downturn has effected everyone in one way or another. So its understandable that people would be reluctant to believe in a theory that promises them an abundance of their desires, especially wealth. The instructions outlined in 'The Secret' are good but unfortunately many feel that they weren't quite enough or weren't as detailed as they could have been. He has written a publication entitled 'The Forgotten Laws'. His version isn't the watered down version that the DVD or book was, but a much more detailed and fleshed out version. I sure that if you searched for making money on the internet or article marketing then you have come across numerous offers of products on how to do this. Some promising you how to further purchase the right keywords for your articles. Some offering that elusive element that separates the big boys from the little men. Some even offering you a program which will write the article for you. Whilst I wouldn’t presume to say that all of these are snake oil salesmen I think it’s fair to say that some are. I’ve no doubt that the program for writing articles does exactly what it says it does, but I would argue that I think personal experience and a naturally written article speaks for itself.

So how can you market a product using articles and more importantly how can you make money from it? Well first you need to sign up to an affiliate marketplace, just Google search ‘affiliate marketplace’ and you will find all you need. Then you need to choose a product. Once the product is chosen it’s generally a good idea to purchase it or at least try out its theory, there is nothing worse than someone writing about something they have never used. Then submit your article to an article database, again just Google search the term. Providing its good enough the piece will be accepted and available for anyone to view.

The mystery that most people have trouble with is traffic or how do I make my article the most popular? This truly is the holy grail of any marketing venture. Some people will use purchased target words, these words will then feed the article on a pay per click basis. Yes this method cost’s money and being honest I have personally always been slightly sceptical of this method, I have yet to meet or see someone who has showed me that the cost of their target words is in line with their income. You could use a SEO or ‘search engine optimisation’ program or site, again some of these cost money and you really need to know what you are doing or you gain any of the benefits. I have no clue how SEO works so I wouldn’t presume to tell you how, but if you really know your way around the internet it’s definitely worth looking into.

The Secret and all the things in between

The secret has attracted hundreds if not thousands of loyal followers around the globe since its release. It has an almost hypnotic pull for people, drawing them in with the promise of a more fulfilled life. A life of true love, wealth and general happiness. The way in which it does this is with what the author describes as an age old secret, lost to a generation, but rediscovered and repackaged for the masses of the modern consumer. The method or titled secret is simple in concept, but complex to apply. The ‘law of attraction’ as it’s called is exactly as it appears, if you want something bad enough you will attract it to yourself, as I said very simple in concept. Yet extremely difficult to apply, if your mind wanders and becomes caught in negativity your prize will be lost. The simplest way to explain this would be to say if you have little money and would like some more, if you focus consistently on how much money you don’t have then you will never have the wealth you dream of. Whereas if you are constantly positive being grateful for what you do have then, but focusing on gaining more and the happiness it will bring you, then your dream will come.

This understated and extremely complex section of science is still in its infancy, new theories and concept are created daily from this science, stringent scientists still don’t wholly believe it to be a real science. But don’t fooled by this lack of mainstream backing, the science began with the great Albert Einstein. His theory of relativity set the bench mark for quantum systems of thought. I would definitely recommend doing further research into quantum physics and Einstein’s theory, but the short and sweet concept discovered by Einstein is that we are all constructs of our own consciousness.
